Jack Butel further demonstrated his motor racing potential with his debut in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. Butel entered the series at the 5th round stage, with improving lap times during practice setting up strong performances during Saturday and Sunday’s races.
“I am personally delighted with how the weekend went. Driving with Artline Racing and David Fairbrother has been great fun and with a little more time in the car we might have even got onto the podium in the ProAm class.”
It was the first time that Butel had driven a Lamborghini and racing on the famous Nurburgring circuit, and he was impressed with the experience;
“The power of the Lamborghini was impressive, and it was exciting to get behind the wheel and race on the Nurburgring. This season I have be driving in GT4, so I had to make a few adjustments to my driving style. The support from the entire team, engineers and drivers helped me adjust quickly and my lap times were competitive, especially for my first outing.”
The 6th and final round of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo takes place on the 24 / 25 October at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain, a race that Butel hopes that he will join up with Artline Racing once more.
“Hopefully I will be in Spain for the Super Trofeo World Finals. It would be fantastic to race a Lamborghini again and I will sit down with my team and Artline Racing in the next couple of weeks and see if it’s possible.”
