Jack Butel’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals came to a close at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in the South of Spain in front of 15,000 spectators.
The World Finals attracted over 50 cars from around the globe all looking to be crowned World Champions in the Pro, Pro-Am, Am and Lamborghini Cup classes.
On the back of a third-place podium finish in the final race of the European Series, Jack Butel and his driving partner Steven Liquorish, were in confident mood. During Race 1 Butel / Liquorish qualified 21st on the grid with a time of 1’46.35”. Unfortunately, Butel who was making good progress, was forced to retire the car from the race due to a gear box issue.
On the Sunday, Butel arguably put in his most impressive performance behind the wheel of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo. Starting 20th on the grid, he worked his way to a 18th place finish and 7th overall in the Pro-Am class.
